I am just a girl. A girl with horrible guts. A girl who believes that life doesn’t have to be miserable with an autoimmune disease. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 2013. I have been in the fight of my life ever since.
This is my journey. The continued story of my passion to heal my body through any means possible and to share that knowledge with anyone who will listen. My passion is to help others and band together to learn how to manage symptoms and support each other.
In this blog you will hopefully find some solace, some encouragement that you are not alone. I hope to offer some help with whatever gut problems you are experiencing… You can also read my full detailed story here I hope to outline many treatment options (trial drugs like the QUBECO SSI, hyperbarric, humira, diet and supplements, essential oils and the list goes on and on) and offer my personal experiences with most of them. I hope to try to help others get some relief from gut issues. I hope to be a part of the world overcoming the horrible suffering that one endures with gut disease. I believe that we are on the brink of curing intestinal autoimmune disease. I am excited to be apart of that.
A little more about me…just in case you were wondering…also see my full story here
I am also a registered nurse, a mother of 2 beautiful babies, a wife to a fabulous (and very handsome man), a professional pianist/organist, a self defense ‘expert’ (i hold 2 black belts) and someone who always wants to learn about the world and about other people.
I am a Christian who believes the Bible. I believe that there is one God and through Him is salvation. I believe that the things that have happened to me are not just chance but orchestrated by the all knowing and loving God of this world. Sometimes it is hard to put things into perspective but ultimately I have a God who is in control and I can always lean on Him. Please read my life verse, Isaiah 41:10.
If you want to know anything else, just ask. I am always here and willing to help or just listen. I can, unfortunately, empathize with most symptoms of intestinal disease!
